Connecting through Samaritans - Talk to Us
In our fast-paced lives, it's important to prioritise our mental health and foster a supportive community. 24th July (24/7) is Samaritans Awareness Day, and throughout the month of July they’ll be running their awareness-raising campaign Talk to Us, to remind people they are always here to listen.
The Talk to Us campaign, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of reaching out, connecting with others, and prioritising our wellbeing. All of these steps play a vital role in promoting mental health and developing a supportive environment.

Breaking the Stigma: The Talk to Us campaign run by Samaritans, encourages open conversations about mental health and the idea of breaking the stigma that often surrounds it. Sharing experiences and supporting one another can help normalize conversations around mental health, leading to increased awareness and understanding.

By reaching out to friends, family, colleagues, or even strangers, we can create meaningful connections that have a positive impact on mental health. Taking the time to actively listen, offer support, can make a significant difference in someone's life.

Seeking Support: Samaritans offers a valuable support system for those in need. Whether you're going through a difficult time or simply need someone to talk to, their helpline provides support. Building Resilience: Engaging in open conversations and seeking support can help build resilience. Through sharing our own challenges, seeking advice, and offering support, we contribute to a collective effort in promoting mental wellbeing.
